Information reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that the member representing Pankshin South in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Gideon Dashe has donated groceries and food items to the Muslim communities of the ten political wards of Pankshin South constituency.

The exchange, which took place at the Government Secondary School Mugulum in chip district of Pankshin LGA, attracted several party faithfuls of the APC, the Fulani Ardo in Pankshin South and  members of the Muslim community amongst many.

Represented by the Director General of the Gideon Dashe campaign organisation, Rev. David Dabit, Hon Dashe thanked the congregation for their unwavering support and commitment to making Plateau South a great constituency. He said the essence of providing the groceries/food items to the Muslim community was in view of the holy month of Ramadan, which is a period of prayer, fasting, sombre reflection and seeking the face of the Almighty. Saying, as brothers and sisters we ought to support and assist one another at all times.

He reiterated the fact that the season of politicking was over and that it is now time to provide the dividends of democracy to the people, irrespective of party affiliation, creed or ethnicity. He said his donation was not strictly to APC members or its sympathisers, but for the entire Muslim community in Pankshin South –calling that the donations be distributed fairly.

Speaking further, he told the gathering that he has earmarked several projects to be carried out across the entire constituency, but that the unfortunately ailment which struck him lately has meant that he has deferred a few of those for a while. He urged members to continue to pray for him, as he seeks to gain full recovery.

He reiterated the fact that he does not take the mandate bestowed on him by his constituents for granted and that he will work tirelessly to deliver on his mandate –particularly as relates to the blueprint which he has crafted.

Responding on behalf of the Muslim community in Pankshin, Alh Sule Di thanked the member for his magnanimity and promised that the Imams and Ardos will ensure that the items reach his Muslim constituents.He thanked the Honourable member for remembering them in these times of economic hardship and said a short prayer for the member and President Muhammadu Buhari.

A goodwill message was delivered on behalf of the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Kamshak Kuden by his personal assistant Pharmacist Vicent Danat –with other goodwill messages came from Dr Nenrot David Longlam, Alh Halilu Talle, Hon James Dakup (APC Secretary), Hon Nehemiah Tal, Alh Maidangi, the Imam of Tal central mosque, Hon Nicholas Davil and a host others.
