The Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly and the gubernatorial flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Gyang Nyam Pwajok, has suggested that the best way to address the plight of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPS, in the country is to eliminate insurgency through concerted effort.
The gubernatorial hopeful gave the suggestion over the weekend in Jos, when he visited some of the IDPS, at the EYN Church.
Pwajok who was visibly touched by the plight of the IDPS, said the Nigeria experience and challenges requires that people should come together no matter their ethnic or religious differences to fight their common enemy.

The Senator who thanked the federal government for working tirelessly towards providing permanent solution to the security challenges in the country and it’s timely response to the plight of the IDPs, urged citizens to pray for the country’s security forces for God to give them the wisdom and ability to fight insurgency.
Welcoming the Senator, the executive director of the Centre for Caring, Empowerment and Peace Initiative, CCEPI, Dr. Rebecca Dali, said the IDPS, who are from the North-Eastern part of Nigeria need more intervention and assistance to help them nurse the pains and trauma of their displacement.
She then called on Philantripists, corporate bodies and well meaning Nigerians to assist the Centre towards reducing the suffering of citizens who have fallen victims of insurgency. Adding that the centre is currently taking care of over 19,000 displaced persons, and women and children forms the majority.
The Senator presented relief materials worth millions of naira to the displaced persons on behalf of the federal government through the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
