PSA UK Express Disappointment and Disgust over Recent Attacks on the Plateau

The Plateau State Association (PSA), UK is utterly appalled by the recent surge in attacks on our indigenous brethren in Mangu, Bokkos, Barkin Ladi and other local government areas. We vehemently denounce the heinous killings and insist that the Government takes immediate and decisive action to apprehend and punish the perpetrators.

This association is deeply dismayed by the deceitful characterization of these atrocities as “farmer-herder clashes.” We express profound disappointment in the deliberate misrepresentation and misleading narratives propagated by the media. Let it be crystal clear – this is not a mere clash between farmers and herders. It is an outright land-grabbing strategy executed through the brutal massacre of ancestral inhabitants, all in pursuit of ulterior motives.

We demand the federal government to accelerate its efforts in eradicating these marauders and restoring unlawfully seized lands to their rightful communities. Furthermore, we adamantly advocate for the establishment of State Policing. A state security framework, such as state police, directly under the control of the Governor as the Chief Security Officer, is imperative to halt the ongoing bloodshed.

As an association, we stand unwaveringly united with our people and will not tolerate the mortgaging of our future. We call for the preservation of Plateau State and Nigeria. Long live Plateau State! Long live Nigeria!

President, PSA UK, Rwang David Chall.
