General Muhammadu Buhari(rtd) has overtaken President Goodluck Jonathan in the results of the presidential election released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) currently has 8,520,436 votes closely followed by President Jonathan of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) with 6,488,210 votes.

General Muhammadu Buhari(rtd) has overtaken President Goodluck Jonathan in the results of the presidential election released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) currently has 8,520,436 votes closely followed by President Jonathan of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) with 6,488,210 votes.

The INEC collated results from Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Kwara, Kaduna, Anambra, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo and Plateau. Earlier in the day Ekiti, Ogun, Enugu, Kogi, Osun, Ondo, FCT, Oyo and Nasarawa states were collated. So far the results of 18 states including the FCT have been collated while 18 states are still awaited.

Professor Attahiru Jega who is the Chairman of INEC adjourned collation till tomorrow 10:00am. The remaining states will be expected to come and declare results for collation.
