President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is leading marginally in the presidential election results released by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so far.

Jonathan who has so far garnered 2,322,734 is followed closely by Gen Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who got 2,302,978.

Jonathan who has so far garnered 2,322,734 is followed closely by Gen Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who got 2,302,978.

The results announced so far were from Ekiti, Ogun, Enugu, Kogi, Osun, Ondo, FCT, Oyo and Nasarawa states.

Professor Attahiru Jega who is the Chairman of the electoral body adjourned the collation to 8pm so as to allow state returning officers arrive with results from the remaining states.

He stated before adjournment that 18 states have informed him that they have finished collation but are yet to arrive the final collation centre in Abuja.
