the Prayer Force Network joins other well meaning Nigerians to register its greatest dismay on the attacks at st. Philips Catholic Church, Amakwa Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State which gun men opened fire on innocent worshippers. The Prayer Force Network condemns this dastard act, even though there has been controversies as to the reason why this evil act was carried out, the Governor His Excellency Willie Obiano stormed the scene to ascertain the level of damages and sympathize with the people of Anambra State, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar also dismissed the rumour of the conclusion of the number of gunmen, rather he said the attack was carried out by a lone gunman, who is an indigene of the state. However the case may be, the Prayer Force Network hereby calls on the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Department of State Security (DSS) and other security related departments to thoroughly investigate the massacre in Ozubulu and bring the perpetrators to book immediately. While we call on all Christian communities all over the world to show solidarity and kind support to the st. Philips Catholic Church and those affected.
