Politicians whose relationship with Governor Jang has strained and have therefore formed a coalition to stop him from passing on the mantle of leadership to Senator GNS Pwajok, have again sent warning shots to the PDP national headquarters, arguing that PDP risks losing Plateau, should the Governor succeed with his plans at the coming PDP primaries.

Rising from a meeting in Jos yesterday, the group which has tagged itself “the Equity, Justice and Fairness Group”, drew the attention of the leadership of the PDP to what it referred to as the rising tension in Plateau state, because of the truncation of a precedence initially set by his predecessors.

Rising from a meeting in Jos yesterday, the group which has tagged itself “the Equity, Justice and Fairness Group”, drew the attention of the leadership of the PDP to what it referred to as the rising tension in Plateau state, because of the truncation of a precedence initially set by his predecessors.

Speaking, the group’s chairman -Prof Dakum Shown said the claim by the Governor that zoning did not exist was false and malicious because he (the Governor) was a benefactor of the same zoning arrangement and therefore it was unfortunate that “having climbed the window using a ladder, the benefactor attempts to thwart the ladder so that no one would attempt to use it”.

They argued that no only was he attempting to thwart the established zoning arrangement, but that he was also trying to pass power on to is political protege who hails from the same area. They therefore called on President Goodluck Jonathan to choose between Jang or Plateau state and its people.

At the meeting were: Mr. Danjuma Maina, Former speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Istifanus Mwansat, Alh. Umar Shittien, State House of Assembly information committee chairman – Mr. Diket Plang, Prof. Longmas Wapmuk amongst several others.
