Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State, is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding MOU with PW Nigeria Limited in Abuja on Thursday, 22nd of June, 2017.
The Governor said this through a statement released by the director of Press and Public Affairs Government house, Mr. Emmanuel Nanle.

The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon Simon Bako Lalong will be executing a Memorandum of Understanding on the 22nd of June 2017 in Abuja with Public Works Limited popularly known as PW Limited.
This MOU is entered into for the purpose of realizing, nurturing and actualizing the Proposals outlined in PW’s Initiative to partner with Plateau State Government to develop its Mineral Potential and its Mining Industry. It will be recalled that since assumption of office of the Rescue Administration, Government has made concerted efforts in wooing investors into the Solid Mineral Sector as one the Key areas of comparative advantage for the State, in order to boost entrepreneurship and industrialization while also enhancing the revenue earning potentials of the State.
The Consideration of PW an Irish-Nigerian Construction Company with over Four decades of experience in Civil Works, large scale Earth Drilling Works and Mineral exploration activities in Nigeria and Africa.
Will under the memorandum be deploring her expertise to harness the Solid Minerals of Plateau by establishing credible data and identifying the Mineral Potential of the State and its Mining Industry as a base for viable Entrepreneurship and Industrialization of the Sector. These Technical Responsibilities and Obligations of the Company under the Memorandum will further lead to the adoption of a Special Project Vehicle (SPV) to be used in realising the revenue and industrial development projections from the exploration and exploitation of all the mineral potentials spread across the State.
