PLHA FIXED NOVEMBER 27 FOR SECOND READING OF SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET. ..

The Plateau state House of Assembly, on Thursday received the supplementary budget of #15,185,513,400.00(Fifteen Billion, one Hundred and eighty -Five Million, Five Hundred and Thirteen Thousand, Four Hundred Naira) Only. The letter of Communication from the office of the Governor was read by the Speaker : The Honourable House is Aware that the 2018 Appropriation Law which provided for a budget of #127,405,880,229.00(one hundred and twenty seven billion, four Hundred and five million, Eight Hundred and Twenty -nine Naira) only is currently being implemented by the Rescue Administration through the execution of various people oriented programmes and projects.The letter further stated that, in order to maintain the tempo of projects implementation within the context of the approve budget, it has become expedient to request for a supplementary budget for some Agencies in line with the provision of sections 121 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Amended.
The supplementary budget is as follows recurrent expenditure #6,273,694,000.00(Six Billion, Two Hundred and Seventy Three million, Six Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only while the Capital expenditure is of #8,911,819,400.00(Eight Billion, Nine Hundred and Eleven Million, Eight Hundred and Nineteen Thousand, Four Hundred Naira) only, the supplementary budget subsequently passed first reading and 27,November 2018 was fixed for second reading, Also, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Interventions,Hajiya Sumaiya Hamza and her team were in the office of the Speaker for a courtesy call, she said that they came to Partner with the Assembly in order to reach their constituents through various government intervention programmes, Responding, The Speaker, Right Honourable Joshua Izang Madaki, Welcome the visitors in company of the members and urged the Agency to synergised with the House, The visitors presented a gift to the speaker.
