Trans African link presents her annual book festival and Awarded some distinguished personalities, Including the Speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly as the outstanding Speaker of Integrity in Africa. The Director General of the organization, a professor of Philosophy from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Amaechi Nzekwe while welcoming the guest and participants said the project has been in existence for over twenty years without assistance from Government, the occasion was chaired by Pastor Jonathan,according to him, the festival of books is to encourage reading among the students, the programme should be extended to secondary and tertiary institutions because students don’t read anymore, Bello Lukeman of Unity FM was a guest speaker as well as one of the awardees employed the students not to indulge in social vices that will ruin their future, he lamented the rate of out of school children in Nigeria ,Nigeria desire a better future for it’s children, he challenged leaders to provide the conducive learning environment for the younger ones, Nigeria is has the highest number of churches and mosque in the world but yet the country is witnessing social vices.In his remark, the Speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly, Right Hon.Joshua Izang Madaki, charged the students to read and value their books at the tender age not to wait until they go to University, drug had taken so many of our youths out of their futures. Awardees include Hon. Jecob Kassam Member representing Kanke state constituency among others. The event witnessed dancing competition, reading etc, among the books exhibited are the rich also cry, part 1’2 and 3,Queen Amina,Festival of love etc
