Plateau State has the highest debt in North Central from 2015 to 2023, says Hon. Bagos

Member Representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has disclosed that Plateau State has been rated in the North Central as the highest state with a debt profile from 2015 to 2023.

Bagos, who is a second-timer in the National Assembly stated this on Thursday during a Radio Programme at Jay Fm Jos.

The lawmakers also denied the falsehood being spread in social media that the Plateau State Government has approached Jaiz Bank for obtaining a loan of N15 billion.

Bagos noted that though he is not the spoken person of the Government, refutes the Jaiz Bank rumour, saying he is aware that the government has approached the United Bank for Africa (UBA) to procure a loan of 15 billion nairas and not Jaiz Bank.

The Federal Lawmaker make it very clear that the loan approved by the State Assembly was to be used to settle the salary backlog accumulated by the APC administration in the State.
