Information reaching ViewpointNigeria indicates that the Government has announced plans to establish a health care agency in Plateau State.

During the monthly ministerial press briefing held at the State Secretariat in Jos on Monday, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Muhammad Nazif revealed that the Governor, Simon Lalong had given his approval for the agency to commence its preparations for the National Health Insurance Scheme.

He further disclosed to ViewpointNigeria that the government has also given approval for the promotion of over two thousand teachers across the state, in an effort to improve the condition of things in all sectors of the state.

The Commissioner added that five ambulances have been procured and distributed to five hospitals in the state.
