A group of Student Leaders in Plateau North Senatorial District have commended the leadership style of Senator Gyang describing him as the man who is passionate about the educational development of the Senatorial District

In a Press conference by the Plateau North Student leaders and veteran comrades at the Ken Palace Hotel Jos, the group are making a clarion call on Senator ID Gyang to recontest for the seat of Plateau North Senatorial District come 2023.

PRESS CONFERENCE/CLARION CALL ON SENATOR ISTIFANUS DUNG GYANG TO RECONTEST AND VIE FOR SENATOR REPRESENTATING PLATEAU NORTH SENATORIAL ZONE IN THE RED CHAMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.

We welcome all student leaders, SUG Presidents, NAPSS Presidents, Ethnic Presidents, non indeginous students and other affiliated Unions of Plateau State Northern Senatorial Zone to this Press conference at Ken Palace Jos, Plateau state.

Gentleman of the Press;

We come from across the length and breadth of Jos North, Bassa, Jos East, Jos South, Riyom and Barkin Ladi LGAs. We are here under the umbrella of Forum of Plateau North present and past student leaders to issue a strong statement expressing our resolve and that of thousands out there from the nooks and crannies to thank most sincerely our pragmatic, astute, productive, outstanding, dogged and amiable Distinguished Senator ID Gyang for his outstanding representation of Plateau North in the Red chamber for his tireless efforts in changing the narrative and fortune of the educational sector of the most cosmopolitan Senatorial zone which hosts about 24 higher institutions, more than 159 secondary schools and 223 primary schools.

We note with satisfaction and pride that our amiable and cherished Senator ID Gyang has constructed appreciable number of Secondary and Primary School classroom blocks across the local government that make up the Senatorial district including the following:

1. ECWA Theological College Zabolo; Reconstruction of 3Nos Classroom Block, extension of an offices and Library with Furnishing in Bassa LGA.
2. Nabor Community, ECWA Staff Junction Jos, 3Nos Classroom Block and Furnishing, Jos North LGA.
3. Zinariya Community, Bauchi Ring Road Junction, 3Nos Classrooms Block and Furnishing, Jos North LGA.
4. Kuwop Kufas (Sabon Gari) Fobur Community, 3Nos Classrooms and Furnishing, Jos East LGA.
5. Janruwa Community (Maigemu District), 4Nos Classrooms, Jos East LGA.
6. Sambak community, Riyom, 3Nos Classroom Block and Furnishing, Riyom LGA.
7. GSS Gwakim, 6Nos. Classroom Block and Furnishing in conjunction with PTA, B/Ladi LGA.
8. Nyerwei, Nding Community, 3Nos Classroom Block and Furnishing, B/Ladi LGA.
9. Scholarship awards to 600 students.
10. It is on this premise and other gargantuan strides in other sectors although we have limited our address to the education sector that WE MAKE THE CLARION CALL ON SENATOR BARR. ISTIFANUS DUNG GYANG TO RECONTEST THE POSTION OF SENATOR OF PLATEAU NORTH COME 2023.
11. We urge him to respond to this call that is now resounding everywhere in PLATEAU NORTH for him to step out and RECONTEST.

We speak for the majority of our teeming Nigerian students who have endorsed this move we are commencing today on their behalf.

Today we join in our droves to lend our firm voices that Senator ID Gyang of Plateau north, would guarantee robust and engaging representation for the zone, judging from his antecedents as both a philanthropist, an astute, pragmatic and consummate politician with the fear of God.

Throughout his sojourn in the Civil Service and House of Reps, he demonstrated rare feats of courage and dexterity on issues of governance and state which has endeared him to the youths and students.

His long standing relationship and association with students platforms like the National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and various students union government of higher institution, he has been gentle, down-to-earth yet firm and principled gentleman. His academic qualifications have been married with lots of hands-on experiences that has prepared him for the responsibilities of a federal legislator. Issues around growth and development of society have been clearly shown to be his passion, one that he pursues with all his heart.

Plateau North would indeed be well represented with Senator Barr. ID Gyang on the wheels. We therefore urge him to declare his interest and we hope that he would respond to this call as swiftly as possible so we can commence widespread consultations and engagements towards realising this lofty goal. We are solidly behind him.
