Plateau North Senatorial race -Chris Giwa storms Bassa ,Jos east LGA says I am on a divine mission

Proprietor of Giwa Football Club Jos, Amb Chris Giwa and also an aspirant for the Plateau North Senatorial Zone at the weekend visited elders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party to woo delegates ahead of the party primaries in Fobour in Jos east and Bass a local government area of the state .

Our correspondent reports that in Fobur in Jos east local government ,the Amb. Chris Giwa commended and appreciated the Elders for gathering within a short notice to meet with him.

He said today marks a special day because in the history of his aspirations for both Governor and Senator, this is the first time that he is meeting the elders which is remarkable because the words of elders are words of wisdom and blessing.

He stated that, “For a long time I have been longing to serve my people though I’ve been a PDP member from way back, my return to the party last year 2017 was to first of all make sure I support our dear father serving Sen. Da Jonah David Jang and to also make sure that the PDP takes back power come 2019 which is my earnest heart desire since I have given my word to our father ,Even though many people have agitated and pressurized me to run for the position, I still maintained my word and position to Dara Jang until he decided to run for the presidential seat of the country. So with his permission, blessings ,I am here today sincerely pleading for your prayers and earnest support towards this course and journey.

Speaking at the ocassion , the spokesman of the elders in the person Musa Azi, commended him for coming

He also advice him not to relent on his journey which is not about money stressing that absolute power comes from God.
In a related development Amb Giwa also visited Pengana Chiefdom in Bassa Local Government Area

Speaking at the occasion Giwa said he came back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2017 to revive the party on the Plateau and also to support Sen. Da Jonah David Jang in going back to the senate and making sure the party regains power in 2019. He stated that Sen. Da Jonah David Jang is now bidding for the presidential seat of the country. After about 3 weeks of research, consultation, evaluation and fervent prayers. He had to go back to the same Sen. Da Jonah David Jang so seek his permission and blessings and other stakeholders before acquiring the senate seat form on closing day of purchase. He also said that one thing is to seek election and the other is for the people to support and when you have accepted the seat of leadership, one no longer becomes himself but takes the will of God which is the desire in his heart to bring unity, love and prosperity making sure there are no ethnic or religious sentiments in leading and representing the people.

Another speaker Ngo Sarah Dokotri spoke of , his credibility and will in supporting, empowering and establishing women in various fields which is why even at old age she supports home because he’s a man of peace and his ideologies are capable of stabilizing difficult situations and contingencies.

Elder Solomon Madugu also welcomed him to the Pengana Chiefdom and spoke of the need for him to checkmate the affairs of their traditions and attend to them accordingly when elected into office. They assured him of their support and blessings
