PLATEAU LEFT BEHIND AS FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSIONER SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

As part of efforts at building synergy between his office the Federal Character Commission and members of the National Assembly from Plateau State, the Commissioner representing the State at the Commission Mr Stephen Jings has began a visit to members of the National Assembly.

Jings was at the office of the member representing Shendam, Mikang and Quaan Pan Federal Constituency,Hon Komsol Longap in pursuit of this collaboration.

He informed the member that he needed the support and cooperation of members of the NASS to make his task easier.

Jings lamented that his observation from the little experience at the Commission reveals that Plateau State has been left behind in the scheme of things at the Federal level and advocated called for collaborative efforts by people of the State in positions so as to enable the State take it’s rightful place in the scheme of things in the country.

Responding, Member Representing Shendam Mikang and Quaan in the House of Representatives,Komsol Longap expressed delight with the visit of the Commissioner. He congratulated Mr Jings for the well deserved appointment saying the State Governor, Barr Simon Lalong made the right choice by appointing a politician who knows his onions to that position.

Komsol said the engagement by the Commissioner will go a long way in helping the State as the Lawmakers from Plateau State have a robust working relationship amongst them.
He promised their cooperation as members of the NASS to the Commissioner to enable him succeed.
