The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Kuden Kamshak in an interview with ViewPointNigeria, on Friday in Pankshin said that the treatment was part of the activities to mark the World Sight Day in the state.

Dr. Kamshak said that the free eye treatment carried out in Pankshin General Hospital was successful with over 300 beneficiaries receiving proper eye treatment. He further commended the doctors for their joint effort towards making the program a success.

The Commissioner said, “This is a laudable program introduced by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration of the state in conjunction with some health organizations and agencies, “

According to him, the exercise will serve as a medium to save affected people from the trauma and pains of eye problems.

He said that the exercise which commenced on Friday would last for three days and appealed to the people to come out in large numbers.

The Plateau Government has offered free eye treatment to no fewer than 1,500 persons with eye sight problems.
