Chairman of Bukuru cattle market, Bala Muhammad and three others who filled the case at the state high court are seeking the court to issue an injunction restraining the state government from demolishing the market.

The lawyer for the plaintiff, Barrister Nanle Komak stated in court that he was served with the preliminary objection from the defence counsel yesterday morning and asked the court for time to go through the preliminary objection so to respond effectively.

Justice Daniel Longe who is the presiding judge in his ruling, adjourned the case to July 25th for hearing on the motion of the preliminary objection.

It would be recalled that ViewPointNigeria reported of the plan by Plateau state Government to demolish the Bukuru market after it issued a quit notice to traders and asked them to relocate to a new site. This did not go down with the traders who vowed to resist the action. The state Government swung into action and demolished over 1,000 shops and houses.
