The APC congress of Saturday 19th may, 2018 which saw the emergence of Hon Letep Dabang as the chairman was not without its little challenge as Johnson Podar continues to address whosoever cares to listen on his disqualification, recall that Podar was vying for the chairman alongside Letep but was ultimately disqualified because he failed to fulfilled the requirement of membership in the party.

Podar’s Name was not found in the ward register were he hail from, and the ward chairman including the Local Government Chairman denied his membership, podar who perpetually identifies himself as a member of the Buhari campaign organization and the legacy founder of the CPC where he contested as the Governor in 2011
Appearing before the APC appeal Committee chaired by Hon Babatunde Monday, Hon Letep alongside the ward officials where podar claims, the Local Government Chairman of Pankshin and the APC state secretary amidst party faithful seated and press .
Letep raised serious issues of fraud on the person of podar as the membership card he is carrying is different from others in his ward in terms of the serial numbering and other features, in fact that of podar carries everything including the one meant for the secretariat.

On the issue of podar being a member of Buhari campaign organization, Hon Letep says “anybody can be a member of a campaign organization notwithstanding membership or loyalty to party”. He added that by the 2014 registration of APC Podar was in PDP, again for all who were given waiver to join the Party must register at the ward level here, the chairman cited the case of Ali Modu Sherief the factional leader of the PDP who decamp but was instructed to go back to his ward to register.

Furthermore, the chairman submit that the party maintain a long list of stakeholders where podar name was never seen even as a onetime governorship aspirant why ? Because he wrote officially his resignation from CPC to PDP hence, all rights and privileges were strip off.

The secretary of the party, Basher Musan Satti concluded that “Podar is mischievous trying to waste people’s time”

Podar will be expected to face the committee tomorrow to defend his case and to clarify issues of fraud raised against him.
