The Plateau state Initiative for the Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN), Plateau central zone has cried out over renewed attacks in Garga, Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State. In a statement signed by its chairman Comr. Alpha John Dakwak, PIDAN central zone described the attack as most unfortunate and totally condemns it.

According to PIDAN, the latest spate of violence leading to the loss of lives of four able-bodied young men is both heartbreaking and unacceptable.

RENEWED ATTACKS IN GARGA AREA OF KANAM LGA ARE LAMENTABLE — PIDAN

The Central Zone Chapter of the Plateau Initiative for the Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN) expresses deep concern and strongly condemns the renewed attacks in the Garga area of Kanam Local Government Area.

At a time when peace was gradually returning to parts of Nigeria, it is unfortunate that criminal elements have chosen to disrupt the fragile calm and inflict pain on innocent and law-abiding citizens.

The recent spate of violence, which resulted in the tragic loss of four able-bodied young men, is both heartbreaking and unacceptable.

We call on security agencies to intensify operations in the affected communities and ensure that the perpetrators of these heinous acts are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.

There must be no compromise in restoring lasting peace to the area.We also urge community members to remain vigilant, strengthen cooperation with security operatives, and work collectively with neighboring communities within the bounds of the law to safeguard lives and property.

PIDAN extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.
