ViewPointNigeria has received exclusive pictures of the attack that occurred last night at Tarai village of Jol – Riyom. Two people were killed by suspected Fulani militia as they returned from a health centre in Vwak (a neighbouring village). The deceased include: Miss Suzanna Daniel Choji a 16 year old (JSS 3 student of Government Secondary School, Rim and her uncle, Joel Choji (29 years old).

Both were ill and were being taken to the clinic at Vwak when they were ambushed and killed at approximately 7pm.

Two people who were accompanying the patients, i.e., late Miss Suzanna’s mother – Mrs Rebecca Daniel and Dachung Yakubu sustained life threatening injuries (from gunshots) and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Jos.

At the burial today at Jol village, ViewPointNigeria’s reporter confirmed that massive grief, hopelessness and despair was palpable as everyone appears to now realise how vulnerable the entire village is.
