Pictures: Undignified mass burial of victims, as Govt & Security Operatives try to hide extent of killings

In a rather bizarre and unfortunate occurrence, where the dead bodies of victims of the numerous herdsmen attacks of Friday 22nd June to Monday 25th June 2018 were held back by security operatives (presumably on orders from the Governemnt) -these have now been released for mass burial.

The prior plan by BECO and BYM to offer a dignified burial to these innocent souls was scuttled by orders “from above” to rigorously minimize the perception of the damage and killings that took place. As such, taking pictures of the dead were forbidden and retrieval of bodies un-allowed until late yesterday and today.

The dignified burial was intended to spotlight to the world what is happening on the Plateau, drawing nationwide and international attention. However, politics appears to have overtaken everything and now the victims have been robbed of their final dignities.

Many of the dead had already started to decompose and stench-out, as such the little dignity and final respects that their relatives intended to accord them was also taken away.
