It would be recalled that ahead of this event, the Plateau state PDP has witnessed several high profile defections to the opposition APC, notably – that of Dame. Pauline Tallen and others.

Additionally, other PDP leaders have continued to protest what they call blatant injustice from the PDP primaries and as such have continued to protest.
