(Pictures) – Fulani marauders continue the decimation of Southern Kaduna villages

Killings in Southern Kaduna is almost a daily reality!

Every week dozens are murdered in a genocidal fashion. And the story is always the same………………the relatives of the dead cry inconsolably, the community stages a protest, social media activists post messages on facebook, twitter etc, the Kaduna state government comes out hard defending the Fulani’s and warning social media users against posting mis-truths or unverified stories. This is the typical cycle of events. With all the noise from El-Rufai and his government, no firm commitment has yet to be illicited from him with regards stopping this orgy of violence against the innocent villagers.

It has become common place that the Kaduna state government rather justifies the killings or focuses on the reprisals by the attacked communities than seeking the end the real problem of attacks by Fulani militias.

Well, yesterday – Fulani marauders yet struck in Asso village in Southern Kaduna killing nine (9). Life was snuffed out of both women, men and children. Their dreams, hopes and aspirations came to an end in the most dastard manners.

It is easy to ignore these events because they are happening across the border in Kaduna state -but any such thoughts are foolish, because we are all linked to a common destiny. Standing in solidarity to voice our condemnation to the injustices here is incredibly important.
