PEPSA: Announces 25th May for Sanitation, Promised to relax Restrictions for Unijos Students

Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency PEPSA has announced Saturday May 25th, 2024 set aside to observe the monthly sanitation exercise for the month of May.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director general of the Agency, Mr Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya and made available to the public on Thursday 23rd May, 2024. According to the statement there will be minimal restrictions leading to the University of Jos, to accommodate students currently writing exams.

During the period, movement will be permitted for buses, Commercial taxis and tricycles transporting University of Jos students, as well as for the individuals providing essential services.

However, business owners in Jos – Bukuru Metropolis are required to comply with sanitation guidelines by refraining from operating within their premises within the stipulated time.

Similarly, entry and exit within the city centres will be restricted for the duration of the exercise to ensure its effectiveness.

According to Mr. Dapiya, “our team of the agency will be conducting supervision rounds to ensure compliance with these measures”
