The past Secretary of Langtang North Local Government Area, Isaac Gono, has expressed optimism that the ruling party i.e., People’s Democratic Party, will win all elective positions in the state under the leadership of Governor Jonah Jang in the forth coming elections.
Gono noted that Plateau State has been a PDP state since 1999 and ruled out the possibility of the opposition, All Progressive Congress, APC, winning any seats in the state.
Hon. Gono, who is contesting for the Langtang North-North constituency seat in the state assembly, stated this in an interview with journalists in Jos at the weekend, saying if given the opportunity, he will make laws that would permanently address the prevailing security challenges that have bedeviled the peaceful state.

According to him, “PDP is the party to beat in 2015 general election in Plateau, “we are sure that President Goodluck Jonathan will win his election. If I am giving the opportunity to serve my people in the State House of Assembly, I will make laws that will reflect the plights of my constituency and the entire people of Plateau State.
“I will sponsor bills that will make the act of governance transparent and clear to the overall development of my constituents and the entire state, I will aggregate the views of my people, what they want and what they don’t like, what they thinks if the legislators does will add more value to their lives,” he stated.
Gono stressed that Governor Jang in the last seven years has done tremendously well in the transformation of Plateau State, saying, “If you want to make comparisons, you will relate it to something that existed before and I want to say that Governor Jang has done pretty well. We should not be bias, the man has come and put in his best, if others had done what he is doing, the state would have been transformed long ago.
