Over 30 persons were said have been killed as crisis between Fulani herdsmen and the people of Eggon at Alingani in Assakio, the headquarters of Lafia East development area continued yesterday.
An eyewitness account revealed that the Fulani mercenaries wielding sophisticated weapons, attacked the Eggon settlements of Gidan Gambo, Logobi at Assakio and Ikposogye, killing over 30 person and razing down several houses.
Crises broke out at Alingani following a confrontation between a Fulani herder whose flock grazed over an Eggon farm.

The development led to a clash between the Fulani herdsmen and the Eggon farmers who chased the herders away.
The herdsmen later regrouped and attack the Eggon settlement, leading to several loss of lives.
Several Nasarawa settlements were attacked especially Eggon settlements of Gidan Gambo and Logobi. Trouble however escalated yesterday morning when two Fulani herdsmen were allegedly killed by Eggon at Agyaragu Tofa on the outskirts of Lafia, the state capital.
Confirming the incident on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nasarawa State Police Command, Ismaila Numan, stated that policemen had already restored nomalcy to the area.
At the time of filing this report, ViewPointNigeria can confirm that several Fulani people had left their abodes in Nasarawa state and were thronging into Namu town in Plateau state for refuge. Several residents in Namu are said to already be raising alarm at this development, citing previous experiences where they end up being attacked after being hospitable.
