Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla (SAJ) is described by his admirers as a living legend of audacity, the human and symbolic representation of raw courage. He has been described as one of the reputable sons the Mhiship Nation of Pankshin LGA of Plateau State.

Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla was born on the 27th August, 1970 in Dungwan village of Chip chiefdom, Pankshin LGA, Plateau State. He holds a Diploma in Public Admin from the Plateau State Polytechnic, Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) Public Administration and a Masters Degree in Conflict Management from the prestigious University of Jos.

By share dint of hardwork and dedication, Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla painstakingly climbed the meritorious ladder of the Civil Service where he currently servers as Deputy Director of Personnel with Wase Local Government.

It is arguably on record that Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla stands out from his peers, a unionist of the highest repute and is so far considered one of the best and successful Unionist that Plateau State has so far produced.

Driven by his desire to do more for his people, Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla is propelled by the drive to see that people around him and beyond are properly represented and their rights defended he set out to join active unionism.

He began at the Pankshin LGA branch of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) as the Deputy Chairman. He thereafter proceeded to become the Deputy President of NULGE Plateau State and later the State Auditor of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC.

His track record spoke for him when it was time for participation at the National level for Plateau State, he was upgraded and subsequently elected as the National Vice President NULGE, North Central. His trademark of loyalty, commitment and dedication to any responsibility given to him earned him the position of the National Auditor of NULGE, where he is currently serving his second term in office.

Aside his efforts as a Unionist, he has also served his community deligently as the chairman of Mhiship Youth Movement (MYM) Pankshin Branch with records of exemplary leadership. The great strides achieved so far came at a cost of consistent painful process of training and retraining so as to improve his work and leadership skill.

Some of the notable courses attended and certificates obtained during local and international training by Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla are as follows:

i. Certificate in Leadership Management, University of Wolverhamton, United Kingdom- 2014.

ii. Certificate in leadership course organized by NLC at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State – 2015.

iii. Certificate in Gender Equality, Turin – Italy- 2017.

iv. Certificate in International Labour Law, Geneva, Switzerland – 2019.

Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla is a recipient of many awards with includes the National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and many other awards. He was recently recognized by the Association of Miship Gospel Association (AMGA) for financially and morally sponsoring the annual ‘HERO OF MHISHIP GOSPEL’ event which helps the propagation of the Gospel and Peace Coexistence within the Mihship community.

His evident track records of hard work and experience as a grassroot mobilizer coupled with his humanitarian efforts was endeared him to his people who have decided his candidature to represent them at the National Assembly. This necessitated the formation of the ‘CLARION CALL’ movement hatched to mobilize and galvanize support for the actualization of Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla as Member Representing the good people of Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency at the National Assembly to replicate his outstanding representation.

As 2023 draws nearer, especially as the selection of candidates to represent Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency at the National Assembly; Comrade Shamdung Ayuba Jepla is the candidate to beat across political divides considering his track records as a humanitarian, excellent administrator and a grassroot mobilizer.
