With exactly ONE MONTH to the much anticipated National Convention of the PANKSHIN OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION, POBA,the Millennium International Event Center Jos has been declared as the venue to host the 2020 historic event.

Located near the Solomon Lar Amusement Park,the Millennium International Event Center has the capacity to accommodate over eight hundred POBITES expected to attend the convention Dinner/Lecture/Launch/Endowment and other activities slated for the all important evening.

Already,sponsor of the 2020 convention, Member Representing Shendam/Mikang/Quanpan Federal Constituency and one time National President of POBA,Hon Komsol Alphonsus Longgap has assured members attending of one of the best receptions being planned for them while in Jos.

According to him apart from the donation of Upgraded school desks to the school,the usual arrival evening will have members treated to the best of Live Music by one of the leading Musical Groups in the country based in Jos,the superlative suya/balango spot will also be staged and not forgetting the roasted and “point and kill” fish sections with assorted drinks to go with on the Friday arrival night.

Others will be entertainment by the Plateau State Cultural Troupe and Band,Comedy by some top acts within Jos and finally a boogie for the night.

Komsol is among others expected to move quite a number of his colleagues from the National Assembly including the Committee on Education as well as two Ministers of the Federal Republic Of Nigerian who will add their wealth of experience to educational development of Government College Pankshin and Plateau State at large.

On his part,Royal Father of the Day and a POBA 83 member,His Royal Highness The Emir Of Keffi,Alhaji Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, who will be attending has assured he will move his entire team from Keffi to Jos for the convention.

He is also expected to perform the presentation of support funds to families of the late POBITES who lost their lives while returning from the last convention which he hosted in Keffi.

It is expected that the Jumaat Prayers for the muslim faithful will come up on Friday 11th December at the NASCO Fibre Mosque.

The usual Congress Meeting will hold in the morning of Saturday 12th December, 2020 at the twin theatre of the Plateau State Polytechnic in Jos while the interdenominational thanksgiving mass will hold on Sunday the 13th December at the St Monica’s Catholic Church Rantya Low cost.

POBA National President, Barr Steve Abar has by this asked all POBITES to mobilize their sets for the Jos convention as a way of building their alma mata.
