OCHI NDI IGBO 111 HONOURS DAKUM WITH CHIEFTAINCY TITLE OF EZE OKECHUKWU 1 OF JOS.

Gubernatorial Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Plateau State, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum, at the weekend shined like a million stars as he was honoured with a chieftaincy title of Eze Okehukwu 1 by His Royal Highness, Chief Basil Ibebuike, Ochi Ndi Igbo 111 of Jos.

The conferment of the chieftaincy title and official coronation was one of the highlights of the 2022 Plateau State Annual Igbo Day Celebration, held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium,Jos on Saturday 26th November, 2022 amidst pomp and pageantry.

Igwe Basil Ibebuike said Dr Dakum,the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Human Virology Abuja-Nigeria and the Leader of the Consolidation for Greater Plateau 2023 Team was considered and found worthy of being conferred with a chieftaincy title having proved himself as a worthy son of Plateau, having used his position and wealth to impact positively on the lives of the people of Plateau State, the Igbo race, Nigeria and the globe at large.

The humble and development expert thanked the Igbo nation for the confidence reposed in him to serve the Igwe in Council and the entire Igbo people in Plateau State.

Dakum hinted that he is happy and lucky to come to the political space with Peter Obi,the Labour Party Presidential Candidate. He urged the Igbos to come out en masse to vote for all Labour Party Candidates in the 2023 general elections to bring succour to Nigerians.

In his remarks, the President General, Igbo Community Association, Jos,Chief Mike IfeanyiOkunonke hinted that the 2022 Igbo Day is intended to showcase the rich Igbo Cultural heritage and identity to reflect on the core values of Ndigbo with a view to solidifying the unity among the Igbos and addressing their common goals and challenges.

Okunonke,the President General also posited that the occasion was intended to foster unity and cooperation with the government of Plateau State, the host communities and other ethnic nationalities.

The President General said that an appeal fund for a five hundred million naira for a buffing Igbo Civic Centre in the city of Jos is necessary hence the call on all Igbos and their friends to donate handsomely for the actualisation of the project.

The President General appreciated all for honouring the Igbo nation with their presence.
