“No pain no gain” NANS honour Maqual’s activism

The National Association of Nigerian Students NANS today in Jos celebrate the High chief Michel Maqual, Chairman of plateau state larger house of plateau Youth Council (PYC).The recognition is as a result of his age-long struggle in youths and students activism in plateau state and the educational rights of the masses VPN citizen’s reporter Dakwom. The guest speaker at the event Sen. Shehu Sani, submits that there is more pains than gains in a people’ centered activism. The former senator, Sani says ” activism is about struggle” However, he berates the inconsistency in ideology as seen by the current structures of NANS. “There is a major difference between the world of politics and activism, as the political world is full of deciet and good people have no space ” Sani says

“I was given and option to sign for a loan or loose my seat and I refuse to sign and I loose my seat” Sani narrates how he lost his senatorial seat as a gain of activism which he submits as the pains of activism.while talking on education Sani says those who are supposed to fix the problems of the educational sectors have failed forgetting that they are beneficiaries of free education.

Sani charge the young people of Nigeria to be angry with the system and protest against bad governance

The celebrant, High chief Maqual was full of gratitude as he recounts the many structures of struggle and ended up with a word “give me the Nonsense”and I will give your the sense and go with my none” commendation was showered on the celebrant from family, NANS,mentees and a range of stakeholders .
