Speaking on Plateau State, the President lamented that the State is known for its peace and tourism, saying” with over 40 ethnic groups and different languages, leaving harmoniously together; unfortunately over a period of time, some elements have brought insecurity to the State.
“We must work hard to return Plateau State to that status of the home of peace and tourism, we must return the State to that level.
“Plateau is a great State with great people. He emphasized.
President Goodluck Jonathan has assured the citizenry that keeping the unity and integrity of the country is a task that must be done.

He further assured Nigerians that, agriculture is no longer viewed as a rural development, “but we are talking about Agriculture as a means of creating wealth; where our young and future billion will come from.
Also speaking, Vice President, Namadi Sambo, said, “One of the areas Mr. President is addressing is the issue of job creation, and as I speak, Mr. President has approved the sum N220 billion for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, for which N5 billion is allocated for the people of Plateau State.
He added that, the State will also benefit the N27 billion approved by President Jonathan for dry season irrigation scheme.
In his earlier address, Senate President, David Mark, assured the President that the North Central Zone, will give him the highest votes in the forthcoming polls.
