The Congress of the Plateau State Football Association comprises of 9 LG FA chairmen has appointed Hon. Isa Musa as the acting Chairman and Comrade Ajiji Ibrahim as Acting Secretary of the football association following the federal high Court Jos, which upheld the Supreme Court Judgement of April 6th, 2018 that nullifies the Amaju Pinnick led adminstration and all that emanates from it.

The 9 LG FA chairmen in a communique signed and issued after their emergency meeting held at Lamonde Hotel in Jos said Mr Sunday Samson Longbap seized to exist as chairman following the elapsed of his tenure 29th, February, 2015.

“You will be recalled that Mr. Sunday Samson Longbap posing as the chairman of PFA instituted a case in the Federal High Court, Jos under Justice Kurya on behalf of 36 State Football Association and the FCT, seeking for a stay of execution of the judgement of the supreme court. To our dismay he has now committed contempt of court by refusing to recognized the judgement of the supreme court which he is challenging”.

“Mr Sunday Longbap’s tenure elapsed on February, 29th 2015 and since then there had never been any election of the State Executives committee as a result of that, the Congress had to challenge his continues staying in office in the court law”.

The communiqué submit that based on the Court Judgement which nullifies the Amaju Pinnack led administration, Sunday Samson Longbap lacks the powers to act as the state chairman of the Plateau State football Association.

“In light of this development, the congress held a meeting were an interim board were appointed to run the affairs of the association pending subsequent election of a new board for the plateau state association

” The Congress of the Plateau State Football Association hereby appoint Hon. Isa Musa as the Acting Chairman and Comrade Ajiji Ibrahim as the Acting Secretary respectively based on the orders of the Federal High Court Jos, upheld by the supreme court judgement of 6th April, 2018 that nullifies the Amaju Pinnick led administration and recognizes Chris Giwa as the authentic President of NFF his board, pending the directive of NFF “.

He also pointed out that the recent communique issued by the former Chairman Sunday Samson Longbap and the 36 State football associations supporting the position of FIFA president Gianna infantino, recognizing only Amaju Pinnick as the NFF President was his personal view and not the decision of the FIFA Executive Committee saddled with such responsibilities.

They warned Management of Football Clubs and members of the public to be worry of the affairs of Sunday Longbap and applauded president Buhari for his fight against Corruption

“The Congress of the Plateau State Football association doesn’t recognize the former president of NFF, Amaju Pinnick, but in full Support of the of Ambassador Chris Giwa led NFF Board”.

Meanwhile speaking to viewpoint sports in Jos, in battle Chairman of PFA Hon. Sunday Longbap has described as lies the allegations raised against him saying that those people who wrote the purported Communique are not members of the Plateau State Football Association citing them as past Executives and hoodlums who are trying to course confusion and disunity in the football house, “There is no truth that the supreme Court mentioned that Amaju Pinnick should be sacked or removed only that the are trying to destroy our football and doing that for their selfish interest”.

“The crisis rocking the football house is a diversion created by the minister for Sports Solomon Dalung who is deceiving Chris Giwa to hide under the crisis to fist his person as sole administrator and then milk the football house dry”.

” I was elected by a congress of twenty five members and wondered why only nine people will sit somewhere and order someone to removal those people are fake not true members and representatives of the people and we call on Football fans to ignore these sycophants who are hell bent on destroying the round leather game of football in Nigerian”.

“Amaju Pinnick is duly recognized by FIFA and elections were conducted in a proper way with CAF and FIFA representative on ground to monitor the elections in Nigerian which elected amaju Pinnick and for the plateau state football association it stands with Pinnick as the chairman based on the rules governing football in Nigeria”.

” The Plateau Football Association and its stakeholders hereby disassociated itself from the recent visit by a group from Plateau State to Amb. Chris Giwa in Abuja under the guise of Plateau State football stakeholders and we expressed loyalty to Amaju Pinnick led NFF leadership ” he said.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian football federation has been in engulfed in leadership crisis since twenty fifteen with the election of Amaju Pinnick as the NFF President and another Congress electing Chris Giwa as the President of NFF leading to So many litigations ongoing and also claims and counter claims until recently when a federal high court upheld by the Supreme Court sacking the Amaju Pinnick led Executive and recognized Chris Giwa as the authentic President of the football body and since then the center could not hold for the football administration in Nigeria and plateau state who holds the sword.
