Plateau State Acting Governor, Professor Sonni Tyoden has called on citizens of Plateau State to accord government the necessary support this year to enable it consolidate on its achievements. Professor Tyoden in a New Year message signed by his Press Secretary, Doman Wetkum commended the peaceful disposition of Plateau People and the role of security agencies in maintaining law and order, during and after the Christmas celebration. He sympathized with Nigerians for the discomfort and suffering necessitated by the fuel crisis.
Professor Tyoden called for patience and assured that government was doing its best to see that normalcy is achieved soonest. The Acting Governor further noted that with the present level of stability in the country coupled with government’s lofty programmes in the 2018 Appropriation Bill currently before the Plateau State House of Assembly, better days are ahead as more capital projects would be executed for the benefit of all citizens.
The Acting Governor while wishing Plateau People a prosperous New Year, also urged them to perform their civic responsibilities with diligence as political activities for both the Local Government and 2019 General Elections gather momentum.
