Honourable members have unanimously voted following the formal resignation of Hon. John Clark Dabwan as speaker of the Plateau state house of Assembly, the member representing Bokkos constituency Hon. Titus Alams is now the new speaker. It was done inside the Assembly complex amidst tight security.

A vote of no confidence was also passed on the deputy speaker of the Plateau state house of Assembly Hon. John Bull Shekarau, member representing Shendam constituency. The member representing Dengi constituency in Kanam Hon. Abas Wokdung initiated the vote. Hon Joyce Ramnap was immediately voted to replace Hon. Shekarau as deputy speaker. Joyce Ramnap represents Langtang South. She is a Reps aspirant come 2015 for the Langtang North and south Federal constituency.
