A new General Officer Commanding (GOC) has been appointed for the 3rd Armoured Division: Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State. He is in the person of Major General Ebiobowei Awala, a galant soldier of distinguished character and valour.

General Awala takes over from Major General Jack Okechukwu Nwaogbo, an officer who has enjoyed meritorious career in the Nigerian Army. Major General Nwaogbo has now been deployed to the Army Headquarters, Abuja as Chief of Training and Operations (CTOPs).

At a formal handover ceremony held at the Division’s headquarters on Friday, General Awala promised to build on the successes and achievements recorded by his predecessor.
