In his acceptance speech, the interim Chairman, Castro Nansak Rimven said he will do everything within his power to unite the Plateau youths against any form of discrimination against youths and fight relentlessly for their inclusion into all spheres of government policies and decisions. Youth Groups at the inauguration include the youth wing of CAN, the youth wing of JNI, Girls Brigade (GB) Plateau State, Boys Brigade(BB) Plateau State, Boys Scout,National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPPS), NANS, Youth Parliarment, various tribal youth groups, Catholic youths, COCIN youths, ECWA Youths and many more youth organisations.
The NYCN Plateau State chapter caretaker committee has the following as officials; Castro Nansak Rimven as Chairman, Longtong Yadok as Secretary, other members include, Philip Nyango, Rossi Paul, Vera David , Judith Plang, George Gokir, Shamsuddin Ibrahim, Emmanuel Hoomvel, Jiritmwa Morgak, Idi Nanle, Shiski Kaze and Katlong Best.
It would be recalled that that youth groups in Plateau State have not coalesced into an all-emcompassing platform such as NYCN in more than ten years. The induction NYCN Plateau State chapter seems to be a clear indicator for the rejuvenation of a unified youth group that will voice the opinion of youths, and state their position in the formulation and implementation of government policies, and to also lend its strength to move the state higher.
