Nasarawa State persons with disability received 100 wheelchairs Donations by Beautiful Gate

A Non Governmental Organization known as Beautiful gate handicapped people center Jos which has given humanitarian services to Millions of Nigerians has again donated one hundred (100) wheelchairs to persons living with disability in two different local government of Nasarawa state.

The two local government areas include Kokona with 40 wheelchairs while Akwanga received the donations of 60 wheelchairs.

While Presenting the wheelchairs to the beneficiaries on Friday in both Kokona and Akwanga, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People center , Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan said the foundation was name after a story in the holy bible beautiful gate where Peter met the two crippled and they asked for money but Peter replied them, “We don’t have gold or silver but by the power in the name of Jesus Christ raise and work”

Chief Gufwan represented by the foundation director of Press and programme officer, Miss Sandra Nanbam Yilgwan said gesture is the foundation little way to contribute to the success of those living with disabilities to see that those that can not walk find a means to walk.

“disability is not a dead sentence, there is ability in disability and this wheelchairs are given so that you will be able to help your self and make impact to the society, to prevent disabled persons from begging on the street. We want you to go back and start a business, go to school or learn a skills to contribute positively to society”

The Founder added that community leaders, traditional and religious leaders should find a way to train, support and give care to those living with disabilities through skills acquisition and empowerment to make them productive.

The Paramount Ruler of Kokona, His Royal Highness Lawrence Ayi (Abaga Toni The second) appreciated the foundation for their kind gestured, saying the donation of the Wheelchairs symbolise the practice of true religion which put humanity first irrespective of religion and ethic background.

“When I was invited that something like this is going to happen in my palace I said I have to come myself to witness it and behold this is a thing of wonders, may God bless beautiful gate for putting smile on the faces of persons living with disabilities in my community” I want to appreciate Hon. Alade John Babangida (Leader) I am delighted by this great initiative and lobbying for his people to get this gift.”

“I also want to charged you all that would benefit from this gift to make judicious use of this wheelchairs just as the founder beautiful Gate has said, Go to school if you want to, learn a skills or start a business but please don’t go and beg on the street and we as community leaders together with the government officials will do our best to ensure that we support you in everything that will help you grow and help yourself.”

Similarly, the Executive chairman Kokona Local Government council, Hon. Awal Adamu, who was represented by Hon. Afiku Kuje, majority leader expressed profound joy and gratitude to God almighty for making us see this historic event in kokona Local government,

“The chairman wish to be here but he is unavoidably absent for a meeting with the Governor, he said his heart is with people living with disability and he will continue to support persons with disabilities in all his programmes.

Also Speaking the Elder brother to the executive governor of Nasarawa state
Alhj. Yusuf Sule, appreciated the foundation and Bulus Doji chairman persons living with disabilities Akwanga for the free will donation of the wheelchairs.

Alhaji sule promise to table the issues and problems of people living with disability to the governor for urgent attention and consideration.

Shawulu wakawa one of the beneficiary a Student with college of education Akwanga department of Economics Computer science education
Said the wheelchair will help us him for smooth learning and mobility in his academic pursuit, Shawulu expressed gratitude to the foundation for putting smiles on their face.

He said “I have been scrolling for since i was born and and I don’t find it easy but now I have a means of mobility, I am very happy and thanks to beautiful gate”
