Naantuam Kattiem’s “KNIGHTS” changing Narratives and Building Youths capacity.

The Kattiem Naantuam initiative for global health, talents and sciences (KNIGHTS) is a brainchild of a Historian per academic discipline and a passionate youth of plateau, who seek to change the narratives of his community and to challenge the youths towards capacity building.
Francis Naantuam Kattiem is the masquerade behind the mask, the initiative launch as an NGO on December of 2017 had continued to affect positively, lives of youths across the spectrum of the society.
Recently, the humanitarian organization on a day marking the birthday of the Founder Mr. Francis .N. Kattiem visited the Shendam prisons.
Speaking on the reason of their visit, Mr. Francis says as part of their mandate, they are all in the prison “in search of a broken heart to encourage”
Speaking to our reporter, Mr. Francis suggests that when one looks at the world and the many problems inherent, one will discover that societal problems are cause by the “broken hearted” in the society. Hence, the organizations visions a generation of youths working towards a peaceful and progressive society.
Highlight of the event in the Shendam prison include Film show aimed to motivate and challenge the inmates towards seeing the glorious light at the end of the tunnel. The film previewed to the inmates was base on the true life story of South Africa’s great leader – Nelson Mandela.
The aim of the film show according to the founder was to use the mandela’s case to preach forgiveness, sacrificial leadership and hope.
The inmates were full of joy after the event with each interviewed expressing his thoughts and leaning acquired in the process. Meanwhile the KNIGHTS initiative seems to be just starting yet full of ambition towards seeing the mandate achieved by transforming the lives of the youths through different programs in the no distant future.
