Plateau state Executive Council has approved N368 million for the completion of office accommodation for special advisers to Governor Jonah Jang. The meeting chaired by Governor Jang gave the approval during the first executive council meeting for the year that took place in Jos the Plateau state capital on Thursday.
Mrs Olivia Dazyam who is the State Commissioner for Information told newsmen that “Part of the money will go for the purchase of official vehicles for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly”.

Mrs Olivia Dazyam who is the State Commissioner for Information told newsmen that “Part of the money will go for the purchase of official vehicles for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly”.
She said that part of the money will be used to purchase equipment for the Plateau Publishing Company and added that the council also considered and approved a submission for the award of contracts by the Plateau Tender’s Board.
The commissioner stated that all ongoing contracts would be completed before the end of the current administration and that the governor had initiated meetings with all project consultants and the supervising ministries. She said “The governor hopes to use the meetings to address challenges that could impede the speedy completion of on-going projects because he has vowed to complete all projects he initiated”.
Dazyam added that a plan to resuscitate the Panyam Fish Farm in Mangu Local Government Area as well as the Livestock Farm in Kuru near Jos was considered. She also said that discussions for a long-term loan with minimal interest rates for the revival of comatose outfits were initiated.
