Plateau State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Alexander Mwowus, has blamed Governor Simon Lalong for the row in the state’s House of Assembly. Speaking with journalists yesterday in Jos, Mwolwus accused Lalong of introducing lawlessness in the state, having failed to respect a court injunction issued by a Jos Federal High Court. The Plateau State House of Assembly had, since last week, been in crisis over alleged communication notice from the governor on screening of persons nominated as sole administrators of the 17 local government areas of the state.

The legislators were in two camps along party lines, the APC and the PDP, with the APC ready to look at the communication notice while the PDP members were opposed to it. Mwolwus described the development in the House as unfortunate and sad, especially coming at the early stage of the Lalong administration. “My fear is that the state is running into a state of lawlessness; the governor should be ready to be blame if anything dangerous happen to the state.
