Information available to ViewPointNigeria indicates that several villages in Barkin Ladi were attacked by suspected herdsmen starting yesterday 28th August 2018. The villages are Abonong, Zayit, Mai Idon taro (Nafok), Bek, and Ude.

Several houses were burnt and many injured but the exact casualty figures are yet to be fully established.

In the same vein, a church in Bonon village was set ablaze last night with property worth several hundreds of millions destroyed.

This is happening at the backdrop of the stand-off last week in Daffo district of Bokkos, where for several hours, herdsmen were said to have held shutdown the entire route into the district, preventing villagers from either leaving or accessing the village.
