MNM Launches Free JAMB Registration Support for 50 Students in Wase

The Malikiya Na Maje Educational Support (MNM) has announced the commencement of a free JAMB (UTME) registration support programme for fifty students from Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The initiative, which is fully sponsored by Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Badu (Dan Malikin Wase), Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, is aimed at easing the financial burden of tertiary education entry for indigent but academically qualified students.

According to the organisers, the sponsorship will cover the full cost of JAMB registration for selected candidates, with beneficiary selection to be carried out through secondary school principals within Wase LGA. Schools will be formally contacted to nominate eligible SS3 students for the programme.

To qualify, candidates must be final-year secondary school students with a minimum average score of 60 per cent in recent examinations and must meet all Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) requirements, including possession of a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and compliance with the approved age limits.

Preference, the organisers noted, will be given to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, while nominees must also be of good character and receive endorsement from their school principals.

The Organising Committee added that all submissions would undergo screening and verification to ensure transparency and fairness, warning that any candidate found to have submitted false information or previously benefited from a similar sponsorship would be disqualified.

Nominations from participating schools are expected to be submitted to the committee on or before February 2, 2026.

The organisers described the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to promote access to education and encourage academic excellence among young people in Wase Local Government Area.
