The Mupun Traditional Council was over the weekend in Quanpan LGA to meet and interact with sons and daughters of Mupun extraction resident in that area.

Led by the Paramount Chief of the Mupun Nation, HRH Da Yusuf Walle Fwangbring, MUCDA President, Chief Pedro Ardiyel Dafur and village heads of Jing,Asa, Kagu and Mupun Youth Movement National President, Comrade Longul Dakwom amongst others received a rousing welcome from the people who all gathered at Bakin Ciyawa to receive them.

The team firstly paid the traditional homage and was received by the Long Pan,HRH Da Emmanuel Dabang at his Palace before heading for venue of the meeting.

The Mishkom Mupun praised the Mupun Nation resident in Quanpan saying the words he got from the Long Pan has rightly described the true and humble nature of the Mupun man.

He encouraged them to continue to live peacefully and carry the pride of being mupun above their shoulders as people back home remain proud of them.

The MUCDA President, Chief Pedro Ardiyel Dafur, brought to them messages of a fast growing Mupun Nation and which will further be confirmed as the Vwang festival holds this Saturday,14th March 2020 in Lankan and to also celebrate the elevation of the Mupun Chiefdom to second class.

The crowd who were visibly excited having not received this kind of attention ever,praised the vision of the Mishkom Mupun and MUCDA for giving them this sense of belonging and reaffirmed their love for the Mupun Nation.

The brief but colourful event brought Mupun sons and daughters who reside in Quanpan LGA with many of them said to have lived their entire lives there.

They have however challenged the Mupun Nation to watch out for how they will mobilize themselves to attend the Vwang festival this weekend.

The Mishkom Mupun and his team have since returned to base safely.
