The election of Mr Gofwan has led to people showering accolades on Mangu people, saying their maturity and openness is exemplary. Looking beyond the physical state of an aspirant and focussing on their capacity to deliver is indeed commendable.

Several people who spoke to ViewPointNigeria about the election of Mr. Gofwan, also pointed out to how Mangu people (and others in the Central zone) voted Nasir Ibrahim Mantu to represent them in the senate, even though he was of a different faith. They argue that such political maturity if replicated all over Plateau state would lead to massive development.

Meanwhile, in another development, PDP chairman for the State House of Assembly Electoral Committee in charge of Plateau State, Danjuma Musa Dadere, has commended the delegates and supporters for conducting themselves peaceful and orderliness during the exercise on Saturday.
