The economic hard times is biting hard into the lives of ordinary Nigerians  making them commit criminal activities. In this article, ViewPointNigeria reports of two suspects – Tasiu Mohammed and Saidu Mohammed, both of Bukuru, Jos LGA, who allegedly stabbed and killed a yet to be identified man, took his N10, 000 and then dumped his body in a well. The suspects were arrested in Bukuru, following a tip-off by residents. At the time of filing in this report, the partly decomposed body of the gentleman was yet to be identified.

In another development, one Stephen Luka, who allegedly killed his girlfriend’s elder sister at Tudun Wada area of Jos North was paraded. Luka was said to have lost his temper during an argument (which yet to be confirmed reports suggest was related to the difficulties of the economy) and allegedly pounced on his victim with a machete.

Along with Luka, were five suspects who allegedly invaded the family compound of a footballer, Ogenyi Onazi at the Utan area of Jos North and robbed his father, Onazi Wilson, of a Toyota Highlander valued at N2.7million. The CP disclosed that one of the suspects is a neighbour to the family of Onazi, who allegedly helped  the armed men to the compound and urged Plateau residents to step up neighbourhood security by providing information to security personnel to help track  criminals.

A 32 other suspects paraded by the police for various crimes which the police commissioner, Peter Ogunyanwo described as truly unfortunate.
