Information reaching ViewPointNigeria suggest that following a hotly contested congress/election, which lasted two days, the Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared Mr. Letep Dabang and his counterpart Mr. Bashir Musan Sati as the party’s chairman and secretary respectively.

Information reaching ViewPointNigeria suggest that following a hotly contested congress/election, which lasted two days, the Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared Mr. Letep Dabang and his counterpart Mr. Bashir Musan Sati as the party’s chairman and secretary respectively.

The declaration of the result happened a few days ago, when the congress committee chairman, Mr. Sam Maagbe, declared that Letep Dabang won the election having scored 790 votes to defeat the other contestant Mr. Amos Goyol Gombi who scored 369 votes.

Furthermore, he declared that Mr. Bashir Musan Sati won the secretary position, scoring 903 votes to defeat former Minister of State for Information and the State interim secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande who scored 244 votes.

At the end of the congress, there were lots of accusations from the camps of people who were defeated, however the congress committee chairman advised that whoever was aggrieved should take his complaint to the national secretariat in Abuja.
