To ensure that pupils and students in his constituency study in a conducive environment, the member representing Langtang North-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Pirfa Tyem has embarked on massive reconstruction and renovation of schools in his constituency.

The lawmaker is also providing boreholes in some communities in Langtang .

The lawmaker who spoke to our correspondent in Jos on his midterm in office said he was not comfortable over the dilapidated condition of some of the schools, hence his decision to intervene.

In his words ‘I would continue to work to better the lives of citizens of my constituency .”

“So far i am constructing three block of class rooms at Government Secondary school GSS zamko and work is ongong as well as a two block of class room at Mabe.”

“I am also Constructing two block of class rooms at Nderem .”

The Lawmaker further said that he also constructed a Police out Post station at Zamko as well as renovation of Kuffen district office .

On empowerment , Tyem said he has distributed 100 grinding machines to constituents and also distributed 80 crafted wheelchairs to persons living with disability..

He added that “We have distributed wrappers to vulnerable and aged women’s within the Constituency ,i would always empower the downtrodden in my locality .”

He stressed that he recently presented a HP scanner to the National identity management office Langtang North to ease printing of NIN number as well as resuscitation of Nasarawa ward electricity transformer .

In his words , ” I recently facilitated the first phase of planting of 10,000 economic trees to control
erosion at langtang North Dam as well as expansion of Langtang North Dam and its integrity to meet up seasonal and irrigation purposes.”

“We liaise with the State internal revenue service in generating over 1.2 billion Naira monthly as State IGR and also developed a blue print on taxing the informal sector using my tax module (Tax management system).”

” I have also carried out renovation of boreholes which was neglected in past years in 11 wards as well as drilled boreholes in several wards .”

The lawmaker further added that he is always in touch with his people at the grassroot .

“I always organized a town hall meeting where i brief my Constituents and as well listened to their advise in areas that needed to be put to consideration.

Hon Tyem said that he recently launched a constituency office to make Government and legislation close to the people. The essence of this is for Constituents to reach out to him through the office and for prompt action and attention.

He thanked the people for electing him as their lawmaker and promised not to let them down .
