• Calls on Leadership of Party to investigate those behind evil act *

Leadership of the All Progressive Congress in Langtang North Local Government on Thursday said that it was not aware and never participated in any meeting held on Saturday 25th, July, 2020 at Josams Resort, Miyam-Tarok of Langtang North where some decisions were taken .

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Hon. Sargwak Daniel ,APC Chairman, Langtang North L.G.A, Selchang Yusuf Secretary, APC Stakeholders Forum, Langtang North L.G.A ,Geofrey Nandip

The APC leaders said that If such a meeting was ever held, it never received the blessings of the Honourable Commissioner for Housing ( who is the leader of the APC in Langtang North), the Chairman of APC in Langtang North and the entire APC Stakeholders in Langtang North Local Government Area

The statement reads that ” The attention of the Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (hereafter referred to as APC), APC Stakeholders and the APC Elders Forum of Langtang North Local Government of Plateau has been drawn to an online publication by an online media outfit in it’s website; www.thestateofplateau.com, with the above caption. In the said publication, it was alleged that a meeting of the Tarok Elders Forum and stakeholders of the APC from Langtang North, Langtang South and Wase Local Government Areas was held on the 25th July, 2020 at Josams Resort of Miyam – Tarok of Langtang North. In the said publication, after the meeting, a communique, allegedly signed by Baba Burkat Zhattau, was issued.

“Consequently, we hereby dissociate ourselves from the said ungodly meeting and the resolutions born from that meeting and therein contained in the publication. “

The APC leaders in the LGA further said that the publication is another ploy by some publicity – seeking politicians, who are out to destroy the APC in Langtang North and distort the harmonious relationship and unity subsisting in the party in Langtang North.

The APC in Langtang North is a united pillar that respect the leadership of the party and resolutions of the party. This kind of ambush will never be tolerated and cannot go unpunished. We shall take decisive action against those who are behind this callous publication

. We call on the leadership of the party in the State to also investigate those behind this evil act and reprimand anybody found wanting. We equally demand an immediate apology from those behind this publication. We therefore urge members of the public to disregard the said publication as it is not emanating from the right source and does not represent the position of the APC in Langtang North L.G.A.

We hope that wise counsel shall prevail.

They also said that the Rejoinder was necessitated by the need to put the record straight and enlighten members of the public on the true State of affairs
