The budget (appropriation bill) has a value of N146.3 billion (having been presented as N145.4 billion by Governor Simon Lalong, but revised upwards by the leadership of the Plateau House of Assembly).

From our analysis, N75. 8 billion of the budget (i.e., 52.13 per cent) goes to recurrent expenditure while N69.6 billion, representing 48.87 per cent is for capital expenditure.

It will be recalled that ViewPointNigeria reported of dissatisfaction from citizens who queried the fast passage of the bill in 9 days by the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Many queried, whether they had time to really consider the document to the advantage of the electorate or were simply doing the bidding of the executive by speedily rubber stamping the document.
