Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State, the Professional Golfers Association (PGA)’s President, Major General IBM Haruna and 248 others are participating at the “Trust”  sponsored golf tournament which is currently taking place at the Lamingo Golf Club in Jos.

The two-day competition is organised by the Media Trust Limited, publishers of Daily Trust Newspapers and Aminiya – Hausa vernacular paper in conjunction with Plateau State Government, Bauchi state government, Pinnacle Communications and Nasco Groups.

Other prominent participants include Captain Rhino’s General Oluwaseun Oshinowo, Captain of Bauchi Golf and Country Club; Prof Ediga Agbo, Captain of Lamingo Golf Club; Mr Tang’me Dapoet and Captain of Dutse Golf Club; Alhaji Suleiman Umar.

The National Golf Competition Secretary of Nigeria Golf Federation, Mr Ben Agbi said about 220 played yesterday and about 30 professional golfers would play today to round off the two-day tournament.
